Welcome everyone to the first episode of Board Gamers Anonymous! Anthony joins with fellow gamers and friends from the store, Chris, Dan and Kim to discuss some of their recent favorite games, what they’ve been getting to the table lately, games they want to purchase, and the big new expansion for Lords of Waterdeep, Scoundrels of Skullport.

At the Table
We play a lot of games, so this week’s at the table segment – the first of its kind – is loaded down with the games we got to the table this week. Vacations combined with the summer sun make for a big gaming week.
First up is Garden Dice, a recent acquisition that hits on all cylinders and manages to be a very popular game for all members of the group. Next up we talk about classic deception game Battlestar Galactica, the new decks for Summoner Wars from Plaid Hat Games, and the awesome Boss Monster – 8-bit dungeon building game from Brotherwise Games.
Last but not least, we talk about the newest expansion for Legendary, Dark City, and The Resistance.
Feature Review: Lords of Waterdeep – Scoundrels of Skullport
One of our favorite games (and the one with the most bling added to its box) is Lords of Waterdeep. For the last year this game has hit the table almost every week in some form or another, so we were more than excited when the expansion was announced.
It helps that the new expansion, Scoundrels of Skullport is amazing. This expansion adds so much depth and new modes of play to the game that it’s an essential buy for anyone with the base game. Learn what we like, what we would leave behind, and just how deep it upgrades the game in this week’s feature review.
