Episode 34 – It’s Our First Birthday! Our Favorite Games from Year One

Holy misprinted meeple, has it been a year already?! Board Gamers Anonymous celebrates this week with our very first birthday episode – discussing some of what has made the last year so special and a few of the games that we feel defined our tabletop experience in the last 12 months and what we’re looking forward to in the next year. We’ll be talking about GenCon as well as a couple of big announcements for upcoming episodes that you won’t want to miss!

Shout it From the Tabletop

It’s Gencon! We’re talking about the recently completed show and the litany of games that were announced, shown, or demoed there. We’re more than a little eager to see what comes of these games in the next 12 months, and hoping we won’t have to wait too long. Also, we announce something BIG for year 2. Check it out.

At the Table: Year One Favorites

In the first year of the podcast, we played more games than we’ve ever played before. Each of the podcasters picks one feature review from the last 33 episodes and shares why it was their favorite and what made it stand out as wholly unique. We’ll be talking about Caverna, Lords of Waterdeep, Mice and Mystics, and Spyrium – tune in and find out what we think of these games months (nearly a year in some cases) later and why we look forward to playing all four even more in the months to come.

And more importantly, don’t forget to tune in NEXT WEEK for Episode 35. We have something truly special for you in the next episode, a new feature we’re excited to bring to the table more frequently in the months to come.
