And, finally, our feel-good story of the night. A young lad from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula was so inspired by his father’s research into local history, he shaped that history into a game with local flavor, reflecting the copper mining that the U.P. depended on for so many years.
After playtesting his homemade game with his buddy, he took the next logical step and sought funding through Kickstarter. The game is Copper Country (“Life. Work. Profit. Death.”) and you can support it through June 11.
