This week we’re looking at the biggest, unwieldiest board game boxes out there and why they’re only getting bigger. Do these games get played? (hint: not so much).

First up, though, is our question of the week: What game is elevated the most by adding an expansion in?

On the show this week, we cover:

    • Acquisition Disorders: Everdell: Newleaf, Mistwood, and The Complete Collection, Small World: The Lost Tribes Crusade
    • At the Table: Root: The Clockwork Expansion, Tawantinsuyu, 7 Wonders App (2nd Edition)

Don’t miss BGA Live! on BoardGameArena.com and Twitch. You can catch us 8:30pm EST every Wednesday on twitch.com/bgapodcast and on boardgamearena.com’s homepage.

I was thinking the same thing about the Everdell box… was hoping it would be of reasonable size though the dimensions they list in the FAQ has it BIGGER than the Gloomhaven box 🤣😂.

Yeah, I’m 100% with you. That Everdell box is a behemoth. I can’t do it again, haha. I need to be able to move some of these things around.
