Earlier this month, we ran a contest to highlight the pains gamers go through to keep their stuff organized. We asked you to send us your messiest, least organized, or most complicated games to pull out and play with the winners being awarded with gift certificates to Geeks 1st, a custom game organizer company that specializes in modular designed organizers.

Geeks 1st was kind enough to sponsor the contest to help those who just couldn’t get their games into the box right, with their Modulas system. We received dozens of entries from gamers, including photos of games that were broken down, busted, and in some cases, not even clipped from the sprues yet (TI3, you were a beast).

Ultimately, there could be only three, though. Our winners were selected randomly from a number of entries that met the submission guidelines, showcasing the game, explaining why they need help with organization, and sharing a photo of their current situation. Here are the winners:

    Jon M.

Jon shared a game that suffers in setup time due to a lack of organization, Steam Works.

“Steam Works is a really cool game but the stock plastic insert in the box has absolutely NO separation for the pieces. The component cards and power source cards are all the same shape so you have to sort each time… makes for a painful setup time.”

    Jared H.

Jared’s picture does the game even more justice, and are those…rubber bands?!

“My Munchkin Deluxe game is just a mess. Cards and pieces strewn about. Came with a very underwhelming inset that doesn’t do much. Would love an upgrade, thanks!”

    Timothy T.

Timothy takes the cake with his multi-tier organization system for Battlelore 2nd Edition. I feel his pain here. Mine is nearly as messy – that stuff just doesn’t all fit.

“Battlelore 2nd edition. A separate craft box for all the minis and the base box is still a mess. Nuff Said”

Congratulations to all three winners, who will receive gift certificates from Geeks 1st for their submissions. Want to join in on the fun and be a part of upcoming BGA contests?
