This is a game we’ve been waiting impatiently for for weeks and it’s finally here – Plaid Hat’s take on Bioshock Infinite, The Siege of Columbia. The new miniature-heavy area control board game finally hits our table (a few times) and we share whether it lives up to the Bioshock legacy or should be left in the dust with other video game adaptations.

Also this week we play the newest Ascension release, The Darkness Unleashed, and Chris gets the epic Dominare to the table – find out how this one plays as part of the Tempest universe.

    At the Table

We get a bunch of awesome games to the table this week, including two that we’ve been eager to try for some time – the newest iteration of Ascension in The Darkness Unleashed as well as Dominare, the biggest (and best) game in the Tempest universe. Find out which of these is worth a true play and which you should avoid.

Feature Review: Bioshock Infinite: The Siege of Columbia

As a bit of a surprise over the summer, Plaid Hat Games announced and released the board game based on the hit video game Bioshock Infinite. Drawing heavily from the theme of the video game, the board game combines a number of unique elements to create an area control system with a few unique twists.

Combined with a bunch of miniatures and gorgeous artwork that’s evocative of the universe from which the game is built, Bioshock Infinite: Siege of Columbia is a unique and engaging new entry in Plaid Hat’s lineup. Is it worth trying? Find out in this week’s feature review.
