We talk a lot about the different Cryptozoic deck-building games, especially when talking about the unique genius and simplicity of the DC Deck Building game (our potato chip of gaming). So this week we wanted to pit two recent releases in that system against each other in our Versus feature – it’s Naruto Shippuden vs. Street Fighter Deck Building Games. We’ll also be talking about Mission: Red Planet and Carcassonne South Sea in our At the Table Segments.

    At the Table

This week Chris gets a classic, out of print game to the table with Mission: Red Planet. Released nearly a decade ago, this game by Bruno Faidutti and Bruno Cathala is a fun, if slightly bland looking game that hopefully makes it back to store shelves soon. Drew also discusses his recent play of Carcassonne South Seas and discusses why he’s not a huge fan of most Carcassonne expansions. Find out if this new edition of the game falls under that list or not.

Versus: Naruto Shippuden Deck Building Game vs. Street Fighter Deck Building Game

As the fourth and fifth entries into the Cryptozoic deck building game line of games, Naruto and Street Fighter represent two very popular IPs with two very different themes. How do they stack up against each other as both standalone games and unique takes on a very popular system? Find out which game is better and whether either would make a good addition to your collection of deck builders.

    Final Round: Halloween Games

The guys discuss some of their favorite halloween games this week and try to decide which spooky, ghoulish, or otherwise thematic Halloween-style games should make it to the table for the big night.
