It’s here! This was the big week. We finally got everyone to Myriad and held our first annual Extra Life event. Not only was it a success, it was a HUGE success, and we were able to bring together dozens of people to hit a number 400% of our goal. This was so much bigger and so much better than we ever could have hoped for and we want to thank everyone who came to the event and helped us make it a success.
Extra Life 2013
After 25 hours of gaming (thank you very much daylight savings time!) we stumbled home, slept for half of the day and then shook it off and got to the mics. Listen as we discuss the event, how we performed and what we were able to get to the table
We want to give a special shout out and thank you to all of our sponsors – game publishers and designers who sent us copies of games that we were able to give away as part of our raffle and auctions, all raising money for children’s hospitals and charities.
At the Table
So, after 25 hours of gaming, what were we able to get to the table? Not quite as many games as you’d think, but there were still a good number of games floating around, including an epic multi-hour variant of Catan while Anthony ran in circles getting things set up. But the gaming time wasn’t all there was to this event – we were able to bring together so many people the store couldn’t hold anymore and more than a dozen made it the full 25 hours – thanks everyone!
