We’re back from GenCon! This week, Anthony, Chris, Daniel and Drew fight through a post-GenCon cold to discuss the games we played, the experiences we enjoyed and the surprises we found at GenCon this year. Listen as we discuss four of the things we were most interested to have found at the convention, along with some of the games we’re now eager to pick up this fall.

Shout it from the Tabletop
Drew shares a handful of stories from the Tabletop (outside of GenCon!)
- GenCon set a record for attendance, which has doubled over the past 6 years
- The will be a D&D movie after all, but it will be anticlimactic compared to the behind the scenes brouhaha
Acquisition Disorder Corner
After four days of GenCon, we have our fair share of acquisition disorders on tap for the coming months. Listen as Anthony discusses his biggest from the folks at Plaid Hat, Chris joins the crowd of people who can’t wait for Blood Rage, Daniel is interested in one of Flying Frog’s biggest games (and some ridiculous dice), and Drew talks about a new type of legacy game system.
At the Table
We played a LOT of games during GenCon and will be discussing and reviewing them over the next few weeks. To start, Anthony got out New York 1901 with the team, a new mid-light weight game from Blue Orange Games. Chris discusses a surprising upcoming release from Bezier Games that was a lot more fun than we expected in Favor of the Pharoah. Drew talks about our first play through of Tragedy Looper as a group and Daniel talks about the other Flying Frog game that has him eager to game – Dark Gothic.
Feature: Gen Con Surprises
All four of us discuss our four days at GenCon, talking about the people we met, the events we attended, the games that were released and that we saw, and much more – learn what we were most surprised about at GenCon and what we are hoping to see next year.
