Table for One Episode 10: Holiday Survival and Recent Reviews

This week is a special week because Jason is flying solo! While Anthony claws his wake back to health after a length battle with the flu, Jason steps in to share some recent games he’s been playing and some very timely advice for the holidays. Huge thanks to Jason, who saved the podcast this week (Thanksgiving miracle!) and offers up some awesome advice for anyone who feels like we do this time of year.

First up on the podcast this week is a review of The Pursuit of Happiness, a solo-able Game of Life for adults strategy euro from Artipia Games. Jason digs into the game and the solo option and whether this euro manages to work in his eyes. Next up on the review docket is Vast: the Crystal Caverns – a hugely hot game out of Gen Con with its own solo variant. He talks about the game as a whole, but also how it runs with just one adventurer.

Finally, Jason dives into a non-gaming topic that is nonetheless near and dear to all of us introverted solo gamers – what to do during the holidays when you’re not feeling comfortable with family. He talks about several tips you can use to stay calm, cool and collected, and recharge your batteries when in social situations you aren’t comfortable with.
